Pemeriksaan Tekanan Darah Pada Lansia Kelompok STM Alumni SMP 15 Kelas 3-6

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang penting di Indonesia. Terjadi peningkatan persentase kelompok lansia dibandingkan kelompok usia lainnya yang cukup pesat sejak tahun 2013. Hasil proyeksi penduduk 2010–2035, Indonesia akan memasuki periode lansia, dimana 10% penduduk akan berusia 60 tahun keatas. Dengan bertambahnya umur, fungsi fisiologis mengalami penurunan akibat proses penuaan sehingga penyakit tidak menular banyak muncul pada lanjut usia. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengetahui prevalensi hipertensi lansia. Hasil pengukuran didapati karakteristik peserta pengabdian masyarakat lebih banyak pada rentang usia -52 tahun sebanyak 15 orang, berjenis kelamin perempuan 20 orang, pendidikan akhir setingkat SMA sebanyak 30 orang dan bekerja sebagai IRT sebanyak 21 orang. Tekanan darah didapati dengan kategori hipertensi tingkat 1 sebanyak 20 orang. Disarankan bagi penderita hipertensi tingkat 1 untuk selalu menjaga pola hidup sehat dan rutin memeriksakan tekanan darah.
